Artwork requirements: first file decides

• Vector preferred: AI / CDR / PDF with outlined text — die-lines drawn free by the factory
• Raster: 300dpi+ PNG/JPG — below 300dpi the 3D edge blurs
• Bleed and safe margin: 2-3mm bleed all around — keeps crop from eating text
• Spot colors: Pantone numbers for metallic/fluorescent — process printing cannot fake spot effects
• File naming: brand + style + date — prevents mix-ups across designs

Sampling and dies: where the money goes

• Sampling: 2-3 days, ¥300-800/design incl. shipping — confirms 3D feel, color, size
